Coaches Testimonials:
Coach Fraser,
I anxiously await every WIN magazine for two reasons: 1. To find articles that will make me a better coach, and 2. To lose myself in your inspiring prose so that I can take some of it back to my wrestlers. I am a second year head coach at a school in Alabama, a state where football is king to most, but where wrestling is gaining a foothold. I have been inspired by the journey of your Greco team, and I use your stories of coming out of the cellar of Greco wrestling to the top of the pedestal to drive my wrestlers; your story is true parable for my team, an indication of what you can accomplish if you approach this honest sport unselfishly. I find nothing harder, as a coach, than making my wrestlers see themselves as a team and not as individuals. It is taxing to get them to buy into that and to show them the benefit for everyone on the team when they all act as a unit and not individuals. I believe that true champions are not those with the most medals, but those who build more champions. There is one verse in the Bible that encapsulates everything I read in your articles: " As iron sharpens iron, so shall one man sharpen another." Proverbs 27:17. Your recent article in WIN, "Best training must flow in a positive direction," was one of your best. I read it, marked it, and outlined what I wanted my wrestlers to hear; now, I realize that the entire article is underlined. It is remarkable, and I simply wanted to thank you for continuing to show the path for young coaches like me who dream of guiding their young men to the mountain tops of achievement. Even more so, I thank for reminding us that while that path is grueling and painful, the view is amazing.
Sincerely, Jeff Glass Head Wrestling Coach Wetumpka High School Wetumpka, Alabama
Camp Testimonials:
" I have enjoyed being a part of U.S. Camps. Our wrestlers have greatly benefited from the instruction and motivation from the best wrestlers and coaches in the world. The team camp was a great bonding experience for our team this off-season. This camp is one of the key elements of our success and helps us stay on top in Utah. This camp has already become one of the most successful camps in the country and with the effort and enthusiasm, of the U.S. Camps staff the sky is the limit."
Ben VomBaur, Head Coach
Wasatch High School, Utah
4X consecutive State Champions 2003-2006
"I have taken my team to the Pocatello Champions Clinic the last two years, and it has been a great experience for my team, both individually and as a team. As a team we were able to get in some quality matches during the summer and wrestle some very tough competition. The wrestlers also really enjoyed being able to meet legends of the sport such as Dan Gable, Steve Fraser, & Kevin Jackson just to name a few. The facilities were great and the staff is accommodating. I would recommend the camp to any wrestler."

"The 2006 USA Champions Clinic & Team Competitions were simply outstanding. The staff, consisting of legendary technicians Dan Gable, Steve Fraser, Roulon Gardner, Ivan Ivanov and Sergei Beloglazov just to name a few, were excellent in their teaching context and pertinence. There were many other clinicians that were outstanding in their work with the kids.
The camp experience my wrestlers gained will carry them into the next phase of their life and wrestling careers. I believe we will see immediate improvement form the individuals that attended, as well as carry over to the rest of the team through the leadership skills that were developed by the campers.
The Combination of some technique and some competition sessions is critical to each wrestler's success. I believe the basic format of the camp for 2006 was very solid. I could see the camp evolving into a more finely tuned machine with small tweaks and adjustments, but overall I believe in the current format.
I believe there is a very good chance we will return with more wrestlers that the 13 I had this year. Keep Things fresh and kids (and coaches) will want to return."

- " I want to that you ant your wonderful world champion staff at the USA Champions Clinic. The exposure to Olympic and World Champions was an eye opener that they at one time were mortals like the rest of us, but with a focused game plan and relentless determination, dreams can come true. For Devon and Cody who wrestled, this was an unforgettable experience to learn they can comete with some of the best and also they hace what it takes to survive the "grind match." For Niko who was recovering from knee sugery it was a chance to spend time with Ivan and make friends with many of the champion Idaho Wrestlers. From Sergei, Steve, Ivan, Dan , Rulon, And others the technique and enthusiasm was great.
I can easily see this camp going 1000 strong in attendance in the future. I for one will be promoting this cam to all teams in Utah for next year. It was a treat for Sergei to spend about 5 minutes just talking to Debbie, Niko, and myself. May the torch of Olympic goodwill be forever etched into the USA Champions Clinic in Pocatello. Thanks to you and the staff we expect to win not only on the mat but in life!

"I just wanted to let you know how my season is going, I am currently ranked number one in the state of Idaho at 112lbs. I just took first at my second tournament and maintain a record of 11-0. All the while using the techniques taught at the U.S. Wrestling camp this year in Poky. Every time I step on the mat I think back to everything you said about never giving up. Thank you again for the inspiration you have given me. "

Don't forget to stop by our store and check out our NEW Bulgarian Training Bags.
"We have incorporated the Throw bags into our workouts 2 days per week. We split practice with half our kids swinging the bags and the other half wrestling. It is an excellent workout. We think it is time well spent. Great conditioning without all of the wear and tear on the body."
